Time to choose a winner.
What I was looking for and what I truly got was a full array of authentic, heart-felt stories. Every story resonated with me, and I may just save them all for our next anthology, perhaps in early spring when we have the results of a few more contests.
The manner of selecting a winner may change with each contest, but here is how we’ll do it this time around:
Everyone who entered the contest gets three votes–one for themselves and two others for their personal favorites. Anyone who left comments but did not enter gets three votes.
Although you may personally drop off your ballot to my home in Hluboka nad Vltavou in the Czech Republic, I DO accept emailed ballots, but must receive them by September 15 at thorn@awordwithyoupress.com.
The winner will be notified, and can choose a gift card from Starbucks or Barnes and Noble or $100 USD through Paypal. Your call. And a physical address will get you your winner’s certifcate, suitable for framing, sent by snail mail.
We’ve primed the pump after a long dry spell. Our next contest will be announced soon.
