A funeral for Writer’s block? Bring flowers
If you believe that there is such a thing as writer’s block, you are empowering a MYTH.
In the original Planet of the Apes, the equestrian apes would never venture into the desert, because each time they approached, they were confronted by a wall of flame. BUT IT WAS A HOLOGRAPH!
And so it is with writer’s block. It is the literary god’s idea of humor, sending us on a fool’s errand to find a cure before all the ink in our inkwell has evaporated.
But…there is no cure because there is no such thing as writer’s block. It is procrastination masquerading as something noble. Fighting it is as ineffectual as tilting with windmills or passively waiting for Godot or for your muse to return.
Procrastination, on the other hand, is real, and because it is behavioral, it is within your power to dominate and suppress.

Delete all references in your lexicon to “writer’s block.”
