Our Current Contest
We’re launching a new generation of regularly scheduled writing contests, and we’re kicking things off with an encore of one of our most popular prompts ever:
First Love, Second Chance
Imagine a serendipitous encounter with your first love, after years or decades of drifting apart. What would you say to each other? Would you rewrite history? A different outcome? A second chance?
But perhaps your first love wasn’t a person at all.
What if it was the used car your parents surprised you with on your 16th birthday, and years later you spot it on the freeway while you’re behind the wheel of your Mercedes on your way to the office? What memories might that evoke? Or maybe it was surfing? Or maybe…
The possibilities are endless.

- Entry fee: $10 USD per submission
- Limit: Two entries per person
