Hi y’all,
Every now and again I come across a post, somewhere on the web, that stops me in my tracks and takes my breath away.
This is one of those times, so, if you have a coffee break, pull up a pew and take a look at this:
http://www.strictlywriting.blogspot.co.uk/2013/07/thetime-hunters-authour-carl-ashmore.html
Essentially it’s a tale about an author who has discovered a HUGE publisher has a book out that’s very similar to his, and one of the publishing staff had previously praised his book on a writing site.
At the time of writing, the jury is still out. But have a look, see what you think, and please consider sharing it around. If the Net has one strength it is people power.
Thanks guys,
Derek
That is some heinous fongery most foul…
And that’s the worst kind ;o)
This happens to me all the time. I write a bestseller, then tell a few friends who write something nearly the same. They earn the Big Bucks and I’m left destitute. Is this fair? I hate plagiarism like the plague. Thanks for letting me rant.

Perhaps you have the wrong friends!
You are right, Derek. I seem to lose my head when I go out late at night searching the dark streets for a friend.
Something similar has gotten me into a LOT of trouble…
