This was so sweet <3 It's nice to have a moment with the boys =) Wuss looks and sounds all broken up and when I expected Boots to kick him (heh! I DO have punning powers!), he reaches out for him. Awesome =)
Watch yourself, now. We my find ourselves caring for these two so much we will need more than a weekly encounter. Where are the lads from? any history about their mums and dads?
The boys certainly do have a very British relationship in many ways; bickering, teasing one another, sarcastic jibes at the others faults…. but essentially they love each other to pieces- a proper furry bromance. As proud as Boots may be at times, he will strive to be there for his best friend. It's the beauty of what they have together 🙂
So which one is Wuss and which one is Boots? Seriously, did I miss the introductions? Ok, I did talk about the subject recently with a friend, and then read a book for Thorn. They both covered the topic of your cartoon. And I still don't have any advice for anyone. If you can tell me why people do what they do to other people, please share. It's a mystery to me.
Some of the time, it's unintentional. Nobody chooses who they're attracted to/like/in love with. It always sucks when a person is attracted to someone who isn't attracted to them–for both sides (assuming the other person has a heart). You cross a line when you toy with someone's emotions–knowing full and well you don't feel the same way. If you know you don't like someone in that way and you keep flirting, you're toying the other person along and making them falsely believe there's hope. I see that a lot in my daily life…and it's not that hard to fall into it either.
There's a lot of reasons why we get hurt by the people we like. Sometimes they just don't like us in that way and either they take advantage of it or elect to be as cold and cruel as they can to end our attraction (I elected the latter at the tender age of 16). For whatever reason, whether benign or malicious, it's a two-edged sword. If the attraction isn't mutual, it's pretty inevitable someone's going to get hurt. Maybe the reason why we hurt each other is because we don't wanna be hurt ourselves.
And a third reason why people get hurt by the people they like? The irony? The other person (and I've seen this in real life, so I know of what I speak) MAY like the other. BUT. They're afraid of acting on those feelings. I could go until the cows go home on all the reasons why anybody would do that to the person they like. But I've seen people act mean to the people they like so they could hide their feelings. Oddly, when I had difficulties with the boy students as a kid, that's what adults would tell me…still trying to figure THAT one out…and that's actually the basis for one of my novels =D
BTW: Wuss is the one who's sulking over the chick. There's one color cartoon of the boys where I believe Wuss actually tries to get a tan to match Boots…hilarious =D If you haven't seen it, you have to!
O.O OH CRAP! MY THIRD STORY!!! Thanks for reminding me!!! Oh wait I have until the 20th…PHEWW.
When you haven't been on a date in a while…you have a LOT of time to think about that stuff. I guarantee you I could have written way more than 3 paragraphs…but that would have more than likely involved a detailed explanation for my excuse of a love life which no one needs to hear…that, and some of my friends around me don't realize just how perceptive and observant I can be. Like I said, when you've been alone a while, you start thinking =)
The deadline was pushed to the 20th, I believe. Thank God. Not sure what that third one should be!

Ahhhhhh Thorn you know cats, they're very private creatures! They may reveal more in due time, but you shall have to wait and see….!

Hmm. Let me take a whack at it.

Chocolate? *offers a box of chocolates*
Wow. So you wrote three paragraphs. Did you finish you're third story? I'm working on finishing two by the deadline tonight.
Thank you for answering my question. I didn't expect that much of a response.
