AWwYP Style Guide

This page contains general rules for contributing authors and editors for both blog posts, contest entries, and printed material. The list of rules-of-thumb will be added to as standards are established.

Spelling

AWwYP will use American spelling conventions for most published materials. Blog posts will use spellings determined by the author of the blog post.

Punctuation

  • Ellipses: An ellipsis will consist of three periods with spaces between them.  No spaces will be used before and after the ellipsis.
  • Serial commas: Serial commas will be used consistently.

For examples of comma usage, see the Purdue Online Writing Lab.
